In the Florentine hills just 3 km from the historic center, Villa Merlo Nero pairs a 14th-century estate with Italian gardens, a maze parterre and a private pool among the olive trees. Stone salons open to terraces and lawns, so every moment flows indoors and out without losing the view. It feels quietly aristocratic yet relaxed—very Florence.
Ideal for
A multi-day, house-party wedding. The accommodation mix totals about 26 beds across the Main Villa (7 bedrooms), Villa Antica (5 bedrooms) and the Limonaia/Cottage (1 bedroom + sofabed). Your inner circle stays on site; everyone else sleeps in nearby hotels while we keep the celebration centered at the villa.

Host a symbolic ceremony in the maze garden or on the lawn, then move to golden-hour cocktails and a long-table dinner under lights. For a legal civil rite, we schedule the town-hall ceremony in Florence and align timings with your reception back at the villa. Garden and ground-floor salons support an elegant rain plan, and a marquee can extend covered capacity when needed. We curate catering, music, lighting and styling with our trusted suppliers.
Capacities and flow
As planning benchmarks, the estate suits intimate to mid-size events. Venue guides note seated dinners up to around 60 indoors, or about 80 with a tented Plan B. Outdoors, the terraces and gardens scale comfortably while keeping short transitions for photos. We right-size floor plans to protect sightlines and the garden layout.
Good to know
You’re minutes from Ponte Vecchio and Piazzale Michelangelo, yet the setting stays green and secluded. Onsite features include the pool, pizza oven and barbecue area—great for a welcome night or a laid-back brunch.
