Monastero Santa Margherita

Why it’s special
In the hills around Todi, Monastero Santa Margherita is a 12th–14th-century monastery restored for celebrations. Stone terraces, pine-shaded lawns and a panoramic pool frame wide Umbrian views. Inside, frescoed halls give you an elegant, all-weather backdrop. The mood is historic, warm and quietly cinematic.

Ideal for
A multi-day, house-party wedding. Your inner circle stays nearby in partner lodgings while we keep every moment at the monastery. Distances are short, transfers are simple, and the setting feels like a private garden above the valley.

Wedding experience
Hold a symbolic ceremony in the gardens or on the view terrace. For a religious rite, the Church of Santa Maria della Consolazione sits a short walk away. If you prefer a civil ceremony, we arrange the town-hall service in Todi and align timing with cocktails back at the monastery. Then it’s golden-hour drinks by the pool and a long-table dinner under the pines. Should the weather shift, we pivot indoors to the frescoed halls without losing atmosphere. We curate catering, bar, lighting, music and styling with our trusted suppliers.

Capacities and layout
Outdoors, receptions scale beautifully for mid- to large-size guest lists; planning guides benchmark up to around 120 seated. Indoors, linked salons such as Sala Caravaggio and Sala Imperatori support refined Plan-B dinners and late-night dancing. We zone the day—ceremony, aperitivo, dinner, first dance—to keep moves short and sightlines clean for photos.

Good to know
The monastery gardens sit above Todi with long views for portraits. Poolside spaces work well for welcome drinks or a relaxed day-after. We manage rooming plans, transport, paperwork and production end to end, so the weekend stays calm and well-paced.
