On a hill near Certaldo, Villa Il Pozzo pairs an 18th-century manor with a medieval watchtower and sweeping Chianti views. Terraces, olive groves and a 6×14 m pool create a calm, indoor–outdoor flow. The estate spans about 60 hectares of vines and woodland, so the backdrop stays wide and quintessentially Tuscan.
Ideal for
A multi-day, house-party wedding. The villa’s ten suites and apartments sleep roughly 26 guests plus up to four extra beds, which keeps your inner circle together on site; everyone else stays nearby. Travel is simple between Florence and Siena, and the layout lets us host each moment without long moves.
Wedding experience
Hold a symbolic ceremony on the terrace or lawn with the hills behind you. Then move into golden-hour cocktails and a long-table dinner under lights. If you prefer a legal civil rite, we schedule the town-hall ceremony in Certaldo or San Gimignano and align timings with your reception back at the villa. We curate catering, bar, lighting, music and styling with our trusted suppliers, so the look stays coherent from aisle to last dance.
Capacities and flow
As planning benchmarks, the grounds host weddings and receptions for up to about 100 guests. Indoors, interconnected salons give you a simple shoulder-season fallback; outdoors, the main lawn and the upper terrace work beautifully for ceremony, dinner and dancing. We right-size floor plans to protect sightlines and keep transitions short.
Good to know
The estate sits between Florence and Siena with wide views toward San Gimignano. On site you’ll find the panoramic pool, formal gardens and tasting spaces linked to the working winery—ideal for a welcome evening or day-after brunch. We manage rooming lists, transfers, paperwork and production end to end, so the weekend stays smooth.
