Wedding in Tuscany at San Lorenzo a Linari | Historic Monastery near Siena

Why it’s special
In the hills just outside Siena, San Lorenzo a Linari is a former monastery with cloisters, walled gardens and long countryside views. Brick arcades frame a central courtyard; lawns and cypress lanes open to the horizon. The mood is historic and serene, yet easy for modern events.

Ideal for
A multi-day, house-party wedding. On site, apartments and suites let your inner circle stay together; everyone else sleeps nearby. Travel is simple from Florence or Pisa. Meanwhile, the layout keeps moves short—perfect for welcome night, pool day and the main celebration.

Wedding experience
Hold a civil or symbolic ceremony on the estate. The venue is licensed by the municipality, so civil rites are possible on site. Then move from vows in the cloister or Hortus lawn to golden-hour cocktails and a long-table dinner under lights. We curate catering, music, lighting and styling with our trusted suppliers, aligning everything to your brief.

Capacities and flow
As planning benchmarks, the estate notes events up to around 80 guests, with distinct zones for each moment. The cloister suits ceremonies and intimate banquets. The Hortus lawn, wrapped by 18th-century walls, scales for open-air dinners. Indoors, the historic restaurant hall supports seated plans and late-night dancing. We right-size floorplans to reduce moves and protect the view.

Good to know
Spaces include the cloister with its well, the Hortus lawn, the Welcome Garden with fountain, a BBQ area for pizza or brunch, and a panoramic pool. The address is Loc. Linari 220, Sovicille—minutes from Siena yet fully rural. We manage rooming lists, transfers, paperwork and timelines end to end.
