Pancolina

Why it’s special: perched on a hillside in Pancole just outside San Gimignano, Pancolina is a restored 17th-century farmhouse with a panoramic pool, olive groves and views that sweep to the medieval towers. The estate feels like a private Tuscan home—stone, wood and soft light—set along the ancient Via Francigena and designed for slow living between gardens, courtyards and that widescreen sunset.

Ideal for: couples planning an intimate, multi-day destination wedding where everyone actually spends time together. The sweet spot for guest numbers is about thirty to fifty; a symbolic ceremony on the lawn, cocktails by the pool and dinner in the courtyard keep the house-party rhythm. On site you can sleep roughly eighteen guests plus up to four more on sofabeds across four self-catering apartments and one double room. Florence is about one hour and Pisa about an hour and a half, which keeps travel easy for international guests.

Wedding experience: the flow is beautifully simple—vows with a San Gimignano backdrop, aperitivo at the panoramic pool and a courtyard dinner under strings of lights. Legal civil ceremonies are typically held in San Gimignano or Certaldo Alto, and for a Catholic mass the Church of Sant’Agostino is a classic in town. If the weather turns, the indoor communal space works as a cosy fallback for a small seated group.

Accommodation: Sleeps 18 people + 4 on sofabeds/pull outs. 4 self catering apartments, 1 double room.

Max wedding guests: Recommended for up to 50 guests
